Police teams seize 7 vehicles involved in illegal mining

JAMMU, Oct 30: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Akhnoor, PS Jhajjar Kotli, PP Chinore and PP Sidhra acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area and seized 07 vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicle seized are as under:
One Tipper bearing Registration No. JK02CL 2723, by PS Akhnoor 02 tippers without Registration Nos, by PS Jhajjar Kotli 03 vehicles i.e 02 dumpers bearing Registration Nos. JK02DE 7911 and JK02CN 4883 and a JCB bearing Registration No. JK11 A 8086, by PP Chinore
One Tractor trolley bearing chasis no. MBNGAALF2PRK01572, by PP Sidhra
The recoveries were made by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr Azad Ahmed, I/C PP Chinore PSI Rajesh Kumar and I/C PP Sidhra SI Lalit Sharma in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of High Court of J&K. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
