| Panthers undecided on RS poll ‘alliance’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 6- The Panthers Party, which has three MLAs, has not been yet approached either by the BJP or by the National Conference for supporting their candidates for the Rajya Sabha election. Even the PDP has not contacted the Panthers Party leadership for securing vote of the three MLAs. Party sources today said that "we have not received any request from any contesting candidates.” General Secretary of the party Harsh Dev Singh confirmed it and said that "the party has not decided whether to boycott the RS Poll or vote. Our three MLAs will sit together for evolving a decision which would be conveyed to the Party leadership." Another senior party leader when asked whether the party will support the BJP or the PDP he said "voting in favor of the PDP candidate will have adverse impact on the Panthers Party in the Jammu region and by supporting the BJP candidate it will amount to "wasting our vote as the BJP has no chance to win the seat." On the other hand the PDP, which is facing a tough contest from the National Conference, backed by the Congress, has also started campaigning in favour of its candidate. Syed Bukhari a senior PDP leader said "we are in touch with number of MLAs. We know the number game may not favour our candidate but still we are trying to persuade MLAs for voting in favour of Bukhari."
