National Unity Day: Group discussion, pledge ceremony held

JAMMU, Oct 31: As the nation commemorates National Unity Day, or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, on the birth anniversary of the 'Iron Man of India,' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) and Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India Regional Office in Jammu, organized a thoughtful group discussion centered on the theme "Life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel." The event took place at the media center in Radio Colony, Jammu.
The discussion shed light on the various facets of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's life, celebrating the legacy of the man who played a pivotal role in shaping India's destiny. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of India, was recognized for his extraordinary efforts in unifying the nation following India's independence.
In an effort to reinforce the importance of national unity and integration, a pledge-taking ceremony was organized within the premises of the CBC Regional Office in Jammu. All staff members from PIB and CBC Jammu, in the presence of Sh. Gh. Abbas, Joint Director, and Ms. Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director, participated in the ceremony with great enthusiasm and fervor.
National Unity Day, celebrated on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, serves as a reminder of the significance of unity in the diverse fabric of India. The group discussion and pledge ceremony in Jammu were poignant tributes to the Iron Man of India and an expression of commitment to the nation's unity and integrity.
