UDHAMPUR, Oct 31: On October 31, 2023, in honor of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the NSS Unit at GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur celebrated National Unity Day. The event, conducted under the able guidance of the college's esteemed Principal, Prof. Hans Raj, featured a pledge ceremony attended by staff members and a large number of students. Participants pledged their commitment to safeguarding the unity, integrity, and security of the nation. Principal Prof. Hans Raj delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of preserving national unity and highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhai Patel in uniting the country. The event concluded with an awareness rally titled "Run for Unity."
The entire event was organized by Dr. Radha Rani, the NSS Program Officer of the college, in collaboration with the Department of Sports. Staff members who actively participated in the event included Dr. Akhter Hussain, Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Muntazir Ahmed Bhat, Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Mir, Swati Sharma, Davinder Kour, Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, and Suram Chand.
