RAMBAN, Oct 31: In view of the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Photo E-rolls, the District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Ramban Mussarat Islam today chaired a meeting with representatives from different political parties as well as EROs and AEROs. Underlying the need for nominating representatives from each party to coordinate with the administration, the DEO asked the political parties to submit the list of Booth Level Agents.
The District Election Officer informed that eight new polling stations have been created during the recently held rationalization of polling stations and now total numbers of polling stations rise to 348 from 340 in the district.
Giving details about the calendar for Special Summary Revisions, the Deputy District Election Officer informed the meeting that wide publicity has been given to the publication of draft electoral rolls.
He said the filing of claims and objections will be entertained from 27-10-2023 to 09-12-2023, Special campaign would be held on 04-11-2023, 05-11-2023, 18-11-2023 and 19-11-2023, while Disposal of claims and objections would be ensured by 26-12-2023 and the Final Electoral Roll will be published on 05-01-2024. |
