JAMMU, Oct 31: On the occasion of National Unity Day to mark the Birth Anniversary of First Home Minister of Independent India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Unity pledge was administered to the staff of Youth Services and Sports Jammu by Suram Sharma, Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports Jammu.
Earlier, “Run for Unity” was also organized by the Department where hundreds of people participated.
Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Director underlined the importance of Unity Day which is celebrated every year to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birth Anniversary.
“People without Unity are not a strength unless it is harmonized and united after which it becomes a spiritual power,” he added.
