| Three militant, woman killed | | |
SRINAGAR, SEPT 20: Three militants and a woman were killed in separate militancy related incidents across the valley since Tuesday.
According to the reports reaching kpsnews.com, Army 4 para troops shot dead two militants and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in two separate operations in Baramulla and Badgam districts, a defence spokesman said today.
Two militants were killed in a two-hour gunbattle at Kudara in Babapora forest in Baramulla last evening, the spokesman said.
Two AK assault rifles, six magazines and 100 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the slain militant, whose identity and group affiliation is being ascertained.
In another operation, the spokesman said troops recovered two AK assault rifles, a pistol, two under barrel grenade launchers, two
radio sets and three remote control IED from Treram in Badgam district last night.
The weapons were buried by militants under a tree and were unearthed during a detailed search of the village, he said. |
