Refresher course in management concludes at TBS, JU

Jammu, Feb 7- The 3- week refresher course in Management, Commerce and Economics which commenced in The Business School, University of Jammu, on January 15, 2009 concluded today with the holding of a simple but an impressive valedictory function at the premises of The Business School, University of Jammu. The Course was organized under the auspicious of the Academic Staff College, University of Jammu. Prof. Keshav Sharma, Director TBS acted as the Course Coordinator for the program.
The participants were distributed certificates on the conclusion of the program by a team comprising Prof. Keshav Sharma, Director TBS Prof. J. R. Dhotra, Dean FMS Prof. Ashok Aima, Prof. M.R.Rana, Prof. Versha Mehta, Prof. B.C.Sharma, Dr. Alka Sharma, Dr. Vinay Chauhan, Dr. P.S. Pathania and Dr. Ranjit Kalra from the Academic Staff College, University of Jammu. The participants who were drawn from TBS, JU; Department of Commerce, JU Department of Economics, JU and the various Government and Private Colleges from all over the State spoke highly of the course and the academic and research content which was provided to them by the various Resource persons during the course from within and outside the State. It is pertinent to mention that the Resource Persons from the premiere Institutes of the Country like IIM, Lucknow, RIMT, Punjab, Department of Economic Administration, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur; Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and The Business School, University of Kashmir also delivered Lectures to the participating teachers.
While Prof. Keshav Sharma, Director TBS spoke about the need, objectives and the integrities of holding an organization of the course under reference, Prof. Ashok Aima, Prof. J.R.Dhotra, Prof. M.R.Rana and Dr. P.S.Pathania talked about the necessity of holding such courses and the benefits that such courses accrue to the participants from the point of view of their academic career. The participants who spoke on the occasion included Dr. Harmeet Singh Sudan, Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Jaya Bhasin and Dr. Thakur who thanked The Business School, University of Jammu and the Academic Staff College, JU for making it possible for the participants to attend the course and expressed their satisfaction on the interactive sessions that they were engaged in with the various Resource Persons and Faculty Members.
Dr. Ranjit Kalra of the Academic Staff College, JU proposed the formal Vote of Thanks.
