Early Times Report
KHOUR, Nov 2: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Khour took an important step towards fostering anti-corruption awareness by organizing an Anti-Corruption Symposium. This event was part of a weeklong Vigilance Awareness program being conducted by the college from October 30 to November 5, 2023.
The primary objective of the symposium was to enhance public understanding of the issues related to corruption and empower people, particularly students, with knowledge on how to combat it effectively. During this symposium, ten NCC cadets shared their insights on the menace of corruption, shedding light on its various forms and its detrimental impact on society. The event served as a platform for an open dialogue on the topic.
Dr. T K Sharma, the Principal of the college, and Prof. Tarsem Lal, both addressed the audience during the event. They emphasized the importance of recognizing the different manifestations of corruption, the harm it inflicts on society, and the necessity of curbing corruption for the overall welfare of society.
With an active participation of over 100 students and staff members, the symposium successfully engaged the college community in discussions about the fight against corruption. The event was orchestrated by Prof. (Lt.) Arun Sharma, the NCC Officer of the College, under the expert guidance of Prof. (Dr.) T.K Sharma, the Principal of Government Degree College Khour.
This symposium served as an essential step in promoting a more aware and vigilant community, instilling in students and staff a sense of responsibility towards countering corruption and contributing to a fair and just society.
