| Road connectivity in rural areas dismal: Ansari | | | Srinagar, Feb7- Expressing dismay over the dilapidated roads in North Kashmir's rural areas, senior PDP leader and MLA Pattan Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari has urged for making the road connectivity better and transportable in the north Kashmir. In a statement issued here today Ansari said that due to heavy rains and snowfall during last two months or so, the internal roads in entire Kashmir have become dilapidated and need immediate repairing to make them transportable. The condition of almost all the roads in rural Kashmir is worsening day by day because of the heavy rains and snowfall. Ansari said that in Pattan constituency all the internal roads have sunk due to heavy rains and absence of drainage and sewage system compounds the problem due to which roads look like water pools. Ansari stressed for early restoration of road links between high altitude and far-flung areas of North Kashmir with Srinagar city by clearing the snow from the roads. He also asked for immediate repairs of roads in the rural areas
