JSS, Jammu excels in CBSE cluster XVIII athletics championship

JAMMU, Nov 2: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, has shone brightly at the CBSE Cluster XVIII Athletics Championship, hosted at Partap World School in Pathankot from October 26th to 29th, 2023. The school's talented athletes demonstrated outstanding performances, securing a total of 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals in various categories, under the guidance of Pankaj Kumar, Athletic Coach, and Yogesh, HOD PHE.
In the under 19 category, Tanvir Singh, a student of Class 11th, emerged as a star performer, clinching 2 Gold medals. He secured first place in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races. Tanvir's exceptional achievements earned him the prestigious title of Best Athlete in the CBSE Cluster Championship.
Sulakshya Singh, a student of Class 12th, showcased remarkable determination and talent in the under 19 category, earning a Silver medal in javelin throw. Anubhav Angral, a student of Class 8th, participated in the under 17 category and exhibited his prowess by winning a Silver medal in the 200-meter race.
These remarkable performances have not only brought honor to Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, but have also secured a well-deserved spot for these talented athletes in the upcoming National Athletics Meet, scheduled to take place in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice Chairperson of JSS, expressed her heartfelt congratulations to all the winners for their exceptional achievements. She commended their dedication, hard work, and sportsmanship, underscoring the school's commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals and fostering a culture of excellence in both academics and sports.
