Jammu, Nov 2: Aashuutosh Mahajan, a student from Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu, has been recognized as the “Best Batsman” in the U-19 Cricket Tournament. He played a pivotal role as the captain of the Jammu Boys Cricket team, which emerged victorious in the Inter-District Division Level U-19 Cricket Tournament.
The cricket tournament, organized by District Youth Services and Sports, took place at Khelgaon, Nagrota, on October 31, 2023. In the final match, the Jammu Cricket team won the toss and chose to bat first, ultimately scoring 150 runs.
Aashuutosh made the highest individual score of 46 runs in 32 balls, which significantly contributed to his team’s success.
In recognition of his exceptional performance, he was presented with a glittering trophy and a merit cum participation certificate.
Aashuutosh Mahajan’s outstanding performance has earned him a place in the U.T level Cricket Tournament, showcasing his potential as a talented cricketer.
The management of DPS Jammu, including Hon’ble President-RCT Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh, distinguished PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, Hon’ble Director- S.S Sodhi, and Principal-Ms. Ruchi Chabra, extended their heartfelt congratulations to Aashuutosh, his parents, and his coach, Sudesh Manhas, for their remarkable achievements in the tournament.
