| DDF welcomes appointment of Dr Kotwal | | | Early Times Report

Doda Development Front (DDF) today convened a general body meeting under the chairmanship of its president, Adocate Chuni Lal Thakur while welcoming the decision of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for appointing Dr Pawan Kotwal as Divisional Commissioner Jammu highlighted their demands of constructing the alternate route of Batote-Kishtwar highway from the other side via Ramban, Kastigarh to Doda. Addressing the meeting Thakur said that Dr Kotwal being the son of the soil and is well aware with the conditions of this hilly belt and will do justice with the much awaited demands of Doda. He said that the projects which were commenced during the previous regime of government here will be completed within stipulated time frame as was fixed earlier. He further said that the situation which was aroused due to sinking of national highway also need regular check as there are some elements who are trying to make bucks out of peoples suffering. Those who were present include Mohammed Ashraf Zarger, Ghulam Nabi Batt, Dr Ajaz Karim Batt, and others.
