Rich Harvest School hosts Sahodaya Interschool Painting Competition

JAMMU, Nov 4: Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana, had the privilege of hosting "Brushstrokes of Brilliance," an Interschool Painting Competition, under the auspices of the Sahodaya Schools Complex on November 4, 2023. The event brought together more than seventy budding artists from 24 reputable CBSE schools, who poured their colorful imagination onto canvases, making the judging process quite challenging.
The panel of judges was comprised of faculty members from the Institute of Music and Fine Arts at the University of Jammu. These esteemed judges included Simran Dogra, Vaneeka Gupta, Ankush Kesar, and Parveen Kumar.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, with the chief guest, Dr. Milan Sharma, and the Presiding Officer, Th. Gulchain Singhji Charak, a former Minister of R&B and higher education. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, the Managing Director of the school, and Ruchi Charak, the Director, were given a warm welcome by the Head of the Institute, Anita Bhatia.
During the Prize Distribution Ceremony, the RHS Scholars entertained both the participants and guest faculty members with glittering song and dance performances.
The chief guest, in her address, appreciated the efforts of budding artists and expressed amazement at the talent displayed by the participants. She recognized the significance of fostering artistic talents.
The Managing Director of the school encouraged the young artists to be passionate about the visual arts and make them an integral part of their growing years. He emphasized the power of creativity and its role in personal and academic development.
The Presiding Officer, in his address, congratulated the young artists for their dedication and devotion to the visual arts. He commended their commitment to artistic expression.
The distinguished guests presented prizes to the proud winners in various categories:
Class 3rd Category: First Prize: Mehar Fatima (IDRS), Second Prize: Priyanshi Choudhary (APS Sunjuwan), Third Prize: Pranavi Jugran (APS BD Bari) and Consolation Prize: Varunaya Samrat (IDPS-Jammu)
Class 4th Category: First Prize: Bhavesh Guleria (APS BD Bari), Second Prize: Mayra Basandi (St. Peter's High School), Third Prize: Ojaswi Gopal (APS Sunjuwan) and Consolation Prize: Dishita Choudhary (Heritage School)
Class 5th Category: First Prize: Virajay Singh (Sai International School), Second Prize: Nakul Gurung (Model Academy BC Road), Third Prize: Saksham Patti (St. Peter's High School) and Consolation Prize: Anant Seth (Heritage School)
The "Brushstrokes of Brilliance" competition not only provided a platform for young artists to showcase their talents but also served as a celebration of creativity and artistic expression among students. It highlighted the school's commitment to nurturing the arts and fostering a vibrant artistic community.
