Stephens Group of Institutions hosts Book Fair, Exhibition

JAMMU, Nov 4: Stephens Group of Institutions, under the aegis of Dr. Aparna Educational Trust, organized a Book Fair and Exhibition on the college premises. This noteworthy event was spearheaded by the Department of Library Sciences, consisting of Sonia Sharma (Chief Librarian), Pallavi (Librarian), and Shiv (Librarian), and was inaugurated by Manoj Kotru, Administrator of SCON.
The primary objective of the book fair was to cultivate a habit of exploration and learning by providing access to the college's library resources. The focus of the book fair was to introduce students to new books related to Nursing and BSc. Allied Health Sciences, in line with the latest syllabus.
Sonia Sharma, the Chief Librarian, presented an overview of the new series of books available at the Book Fair to all attendees. The books featured were the latest editions designed to enhance the knowledge and reading skills of the readers.
Additionally, the Book Fair aimed to expose students to various books that aligned with the latest syllabus. It was part of a series of substantial book exhibitions designed to improve and augment reading skills, enhance knowledge, and acquaint students with new editions.
The Vice Principal of SCON, Kheema Peshin, and all faculty members were also present at this grand Book Fair.
Manoj Kotru expressed his commitment to organizing similar Book Exhibitions in the future, emphasizing that such events are essential for building comprehension skills, expanding knowledge, and enhancing vocabulary for understanding new subject matter. Ramsujan Jayswal, Area Sales Manager of Jay Pee Publications, and Yassar Khan showcased a diverse range of books during the Book Fair and Exhibition. The event aimed to provide valuable resources and foster a culture of learning and exploration among students and faculty members.
