PVS takes out impressive Vishwakarma Shobha Yatra in Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 5: On the eve of Vishwakarma Pooja Celebrations, Pradesh Vishwakarma Shaba (PVS) J&K organised a huge Shobha Yatra in Jammu on Sunday under the supervision of Shashi Verma, President of the Sabha.
The Shobha Yatra was flagged off by Brigadier (Retd) Vijay Sagar Dhiman, Lakhpat Rai (Retd DC) Chairman, Rattan Lal Chargotra (Vice-Chairman), Puran Chargotra (Vice-Chairman) and Kuldeep Verma (Ex Vice Chairman OBC Development Soard).
People from all parts of Jammu province including children and women participate in the Shobha Yatra chanting of ‘Jai Vishwakarma’ and singing Bhajans on the slow moving trolleys which added religious touch to the environment.
Total of five Jhankies travelled through the city roads passing through Canal Road, Jewel Chowk, Gummat Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Shalamar, Indra Chowk, KC Chowk and returned back in the Vishwakarma Temple Gurha Bakshi Nagar where Community Langer was also arranged by the Sabha with the active participation of Vishwakarma Sabha unit Shakti Nagar which organised lunch (Preeti Bhoj) for the whole gathering.
Shobha Yatra depicted various scenes of Lord Vishwakarma like making of Trishul for Lord Shiva, Sudershan Chakra for Lord Krishna, making of Golden Lanka for Ravana, making of Ram Setu etc.
Enroute Shobha Yatra various organizations headed by Zorawar Singh of Team Jammu, Radha Gousanstha Shakti Nagar, Jammu presented many kinds of fruits and other edible items to devotees.
Rattan Lal Chargotra, Puran Chargotra, R.C Angotra (All Former Presidents of PVS) who were present in the Shobha Yatra stated that taking out of Vishwakarma Shobha Yatra, every year is a tradition and PVS is striving to keep it up.
They further added that the response of all sections of society, especially those associated with industry and technical jobs is appreciable.
Shashi Verma, President of the Sabha. told that Vishwakarma Day will be celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety, in each Vishwakarma Temple on November 12, 2023 (Sunday), the day following Diwali.
He reiterated the demand of a Gazetted Holiday on Vishwakarma Day.
He explained that a virtual holiday has existed since long on Vishwakarma Day.
Everyone including industrialists, Saw Mill owners. Brick Kilns, Building Material & Marble dealers, political circles, mechanics, Labour and artists Govt Deptts like PDD, PHE & Mechanical Divisions. Jammu University, Hydel Projects, observes an undeclared holiday on Vishwakarma Day.
Baldev Raj of Nek Hotel, Gummat Jammu congratulated Jammuites on the auspicious occasion and demanded that Vishwakarma Day Holiday be declared by the Govt at the earliest.
Organising team included Vijay Verma (General Secretary), Rakesh Chalotra (President Shakti Nagar Unit), Joginder Pal (District president), Ravi Verma (ex-president PVS), Charanjeet Bitta ( Vice President BSP JSK), Captain Lal Chand, Bhagat Ram from Apni Party, Vinod Jaral, Sham Chargotra, Jagdish Raj, Rajinder Verma, Advocate Amarjeet Chargotra, Advocate Ashwani Angotra, Parshotam Chargotra from Mishriwala, and many other peoples from all walk of life accompanied Sbobha Yatra.
