BIS conducts sensitisation program for Gram Panchayats in Kahra Block

DODA, Nov 6: Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) today conducted a sensitisation programme for Gram Panchayats Sarpanchs and Secretaries here in Block Development Office Kahra of district Doda.
The programme was conducted by BIS Resource Person Raja Amir Karim and spread awareness about ISI marking, Hallmarking and other things.
The programme was conducted on the directions of BIS Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office (JKBO) Director and head Tilak Raj.
During the programme, Sarpanches and Panchayat secretaries of different Panchayats of Block Kahra participated and were made aware about the purpose of holding such campaigns.
Sarpanches were all praise for the BIS for holding such an informative programme which is useful for their daily life.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch Malanoo Zafrullah Magray said that he has attended many programmes in the past but this one was unique and fruitful. "I congratulate BIS for holding this programme and making us aware about ISI marking, Hallmarking and other things," he added.
The BIS resource Person presented the Indian National Flag, which the Indian Standards 1 of BIS to BDO Kahra Shabir Ahmed.
