BARAMULLA, Nov 6: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar today presided over a meeting with officers to review the status of projects being executed by JKPCC and R&B under District Capex, Area Development Fund (ADF) and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
The concerned functionaries of R&B and JKPCC Department provided a detailed sector wise overview of different works being executed and presented in-depth details of the progress of developmental projects within the district.
The meeting was informed that the majority of the projects undertaken through the Capex, ADF, and CSS have either been successfully completed or are in their final stages of completion for the fiscal year 2023-24. The DC was briefed on the advancement of various projects underway in the district under the JKPCC and R&B.
The discussion included a comprehensive review of key projects such as the Government Medical College Baramulla, NHA1, Mazbugh and Mahrajpora Bridge among others, all of which are currently in later stages of construction.
Providing the sector wise update, it was conveyed that under the CSS, 5500 out of 19000 works have been successfully completed under Capex fund while 177 out of 1990 works have reached completion, with the majority of the remaining projects in their final stages of execution.
While discussing various developmental related issues with the concerned officers, Dr Sehrish stressed them to mobilize their men and machinery to ensure full achievements of the targets fixed under the District as well as UT Plan and timely disposal of the issues of public importance.
The meeting was Joint Director Planning M Yosuf Rather, Superintending Engineer R&B Reyaz Ahmad Parry, Chief Education officer Balbir Singh Raina, Chief Medical officer Dr Bashir Ahmad Malik, Chief Executive Officer Sopore Tariq Ahmad besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
