| BJP fooling people: Congress | | |
New Delhi, Feb 07: The Congress on Saturday dubbed the BJP’s move to rake up the Ram Temple issue a political sham, saying the saffron party has no intention of building the temple. Just hours after BJP president Rajnath Singh vowed to rebuild the Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya, its rival Congress party said the saffron outfit was only trying to fool the people of the country by raking up the issue again and again. A party spokesperson asked why did the BJP not construct the Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya when the NDA was in power. Congress leader Tom Vadakkan, in charge of the party's media cell, said: "The BJP doesn't intend to build a temple. They are doing an injustice to the name of Ram, to the cause of Hinduism. They don't intend to keep their promise. The people will give a fitting reply (during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections)."
