JAMMU, Nov 7: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Jhajjar Kotli, PS Nagrota and PS Arnia acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area and seized 09 vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicle seized are as under:
07 vehicles i.e 05 Dumpers bearing Registration Nos. Jk14G-1573, JK02CW-2843, Jk19-5993, JK19A-3016 and Jk02CV-6024, One Tractor Trolley without Registration No and one Tipper bearing Registration No Jk14A-9455, by PS Jhajjar Kotli.
One Tipper bearing Registration No JK02CT-6827, by PS Nagrota.
One Tractor Trolley bearing Chassis No MBNBEBBAZPNB0574, by PS Arnia.
The recoveries were made by SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr Azad Ahmed, SHO PS Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh and SHO PS Arnia Inspr Deepak Katoch in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of Hon'ble High Court of J&k. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action. |
