LIC pensioners elect new committee under the banner of AIIPA

JAMMU, Nov 7: A 'LIC Pensioners' Meet' was convened in Jammu, organized by the Northern Zone Insurance Employees' Association, Srinagar Division. The convention was held under the guidance of Sh. J.R. Verma, Vice President of the Insurance Pensioners Association Jammu Kashmir, which is affiliated with AIIPA (All India Insurance Pensioners' Association). The meeting highlighted the achievements of AIIPA, which have made LIC pensioners eligible for a family pension at the rate of 30%. Additional benefits such as Group Insurance, Group Mediclaim, and ex-gratia support for pre-1986 retirees or the dependents of pre-1986 deceased retirees are also available for LIC pensioners. The ongoing struggle for the pension update for LIC retirees was also discussed, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling this very genuine and logical demand.
During the 'Pensioners Meet,' the new committee of the Insurance Pensioners' Association Jammu Kashmir was unanimously elected, as follows:
President M.L. Bhat, General Secretary Romesh Chand, Treasurer Ashok Birpuri, Vice President Neelam Sharma, Joint Secretary Chatnya Sharma and executive members Narinder Singh, Karuna Kirti, Ritu Sharma, Subash Gupta (New Plot), Subash Gupta (Gandhi Nagar and Sanjay Bhat.
This new committee will work towards addressing the concerns and needs of LIC pensioners and continue the efforts to improve their pension and welfare
