Srinagar, Feb 7: Morning fog added to the difficulties of Valleyites Saturday as water-logging following late Thursday evening snowfall continued to hinder normal life in most parts of the Valley. Meanwhile, the 300km Srinagar-Jammu highway—arterial link connecting valley with rest of the world—was opened for two-way traffic, official sources said. Poor visibility due to dense fog halted normal life with motorists keeping headlights of their vehicles on to ply on streets across the valley for better part of the morning. Many people preferred to remain indoors due to the fog and the cold weather conditions prevalent across the state. Meanwhile, as the snow started melting, people in most parts of the valley were left to fight water-logging, at many places.
