Vehicle Retail Data for J&K in October 2023 Revealed by FADA

Jammu, Nov 7: The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has unveiled the Vehicle Retail Data for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the month of October 2023. The data provides insights into the performance of different vehicle categories in the region.
Here’s a snapshot of the vehicle retail data for October 2023:
2-Wheeler Category: This category experienced a decline of -26.63% as the number of units sold dropped to 6,737 in October 2023, down from 9,182 units in the same month in 2022.
3-Wheeler Category: In contrast, the 3-Wheeler category witnessed substantial growth, with a remarkable 90.24% increase. In October 2023, 1,111 units were sold, compared to 584 units in October 2022.
Commercial Vehicle Category: Sales in the Commercial Vehicle category decreased by 7.53%, with 900 units sold in October 2023, down from 837 units in October 2022.
Passenger Vehicle Category: This category saw a positive trend, with a growth of 4.49%.
In October 2023, 4,818 units were sold, compared to 4,611 units in October 2022.
Tractor Vehicle Category: Tractors witnessed a slight decline of 2.67%, with 192 units sold in October 2023, compared to 187 units in October 2022.
The total retail sales for October 2023 amounted to 13,758 units, reflecting a decrease from the 15,401 units sold in the same month the previous year.
FADA Jammu UT Chairperson, Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, commented on the performance for October 2023, noting that the period around Navratri brought robust sales to the auto retail sector, surpassing previous records. While many categories experienced positive momentum in anticipation of Diwali and new model launches, the 2-Wheeler category recorded a decline.
The data provides valuable insights into the vehicle retail landscape in Jammu and Kashmir and highlights trends in consumer preferences and market dynamics.
