| GDC Ramgarh raises fire safety awareness in collaboration with Fire & Emergency Services | | | Early Times Report
RAMGARH, Nov 8: Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh organized a significant awareness program on "Fire Safety Management" in collaboration with the Fire & Emergency Services Department, Swankha. The event was meticulously planned and executed under the expert guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the esteemed Principal of the College. The College's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) played a crucial role in organizing the event, with Dr. Aditi Khajuria serving as the convenor.
The program commenced with a Lecture cum Interactive Session featuring Ashwani Dubey, the Incharge of Fire Station Swankha, as the resource person. Dubey provided valuable insights to the students about various types of fire extinguishers, firefighting techniques, and the equipment used in fire suppression operations. Furthermore, he and his team, consisting of Vijay Kumar (Head Constable), Satpaul (Constable), Tilak Raj (Constable), and Simranjeet (Constable), conducted a physical demonstration. This demonstration highlighted preventive measures and how to manage accidental fires, including those involving LPG cylinders in homes.
In her concluding remarks, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the College Principal, emphasized the critical importance of such awareness programs organized by the Fire & Emergency Services Department. She stressed that these programs would significantly benefit the students by fostering a sense of collective responsibility and promoting disaster preparedness, which is essential for safeguarding homes and communities.
