| Gupta voices concern over sinking of road | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 8-Voicing his concern over the mishaps at Batote-Doda-Kishtwar because of caving in of the road and some other damages, the BJP Legislators Party leader, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has impressed upon all concerned to take remedial measures including the repair of the road at war footing.
Responding to distress calls from Doda-Kishtwar areas, Prof. Gupta observed that fears of the people about the survey for construction of Baghaliar Dam are coming true and early steps should be taken be check any more damages.
Strongly pleading for having alternate route, he stressed for opening of traffic on Basohli-Bani-Bhaderwah as also Chamba-Bhaderwah road and early construction of Paddar-Pangi road, which would help in eradicating the backwardness and poverty prevailing in these areas besides help in developing tourism in these neglected places which are having bounties of the nature and most attractive spots.
Prof. Gupta regretted that all these areas were neglected but for regional bias during all these years of planning and development.
