Police takes strict action against 40 vehicles challaned violations

KISHTWAR, Nov 13: In a determined effort to maintain road safety and discipline, Kishtwar Police, under the leadership of SSP Khalil Poswal-JKPS, conducted a successful operation under "3rd Eye Kishtwar," challaning 40 violators for various traffic offenses in Kishtwar town.
The traffic violators were penalized under the Motor Vehicle Act for offenses such as wrong parking, driving without a helmet, and overloading of vehicles. The operation was carried out with the assistance of a dedicated team for traffic challans, utilizing technical aids such as CCTV surveillance.
The team captured photographs and conducted videography of the violations, identifying the vehicles through a number plate reading system. Subsequently, the team ascertained the residential addresses of the vehicle owners and dispatched copies of the challans along with photographic evidence to their homes.
