BSS performs Kali Mata Pujan on Diwali at Panjgrain Ashram

JAMMU, Nov 13: Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS), Panjgrain Jammu celebrated Deepavali-the festival of light and performed Kali Mata Pujan-a Puja of the Mother Goddess Shakti at the Ashram premises, near here. A large number of devotees thronged into the Ashram temple during the Puja.
A religious programme was held in the evening where the former Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta and senior BJP leader Rajeev Charak were present as special invitees.
Swami Satyamitrananda Ji Maharaj, Secretary of Jammu Branch, Srimat Swami Subhanandaji Maharaj, Srimat Swami Bhaskaranandaji Maharaj, Swami Mrinmayananda and many other senior Swami ji's besides other prominent persons of the area were also present at the function.
While speaking on the occasion, Chander Mohan Gupta appreciated the social work done by the organization. He said that BSS is engaged in hosting social welfare activities all over the country. BSS is contributing in the spheres of health, education and self-employment, he added. He also extended Deepavali greetings to all the participants. Rajeev Charak gave a brief speech on Bharat Sevashram Sangha and Deepavali festival. He discussed the importance of Deepavali celebration and implication of Goddess Kali Mata. Langar was distributed among the participating Sadhu Samaj and other devotees after completion of Puja. More than 1000 devotees were blessed with Kali Mata Prasadam. Swami Satyamitrananda also gave a sermon and a religious discourse to the hundreds of devotees coming from Jammu region at the Ashram. The locals appreciated the gesture of the Sangha.
