JAMMU, Nov 13: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while emphasizing that 'Happy workers guarantee a Happy Nation' has asserted that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Govt rolled out a slew of measures for the welfare of labour community during its two tenures. He said that the Prime Minister is leaving no stone unturned in making the labour class especially the youth self reliant. The senior BJP leader expressed this in his address during a programme organized by the Labour Union of Industrial Estate Digiana on the occasion of Vishwakarma Day. Kavinder Gupta was the chief Guest on the occasion.
The former Deputy Chief Minister while highlighting the key initiatives taken by Modi Govt for the welfare of work force of the nation made special mention of E-Shram, PM Vishwakarma Scheme and PM Mudra Yojana besides others. He said that BJP Govt strongly believes that labour or workers constitute the force which is practically involved in developmental activities on ground be it the developmental projects across the nation or the manufacturing. He said that the labour force is the real power that is steering the nation to progress and prosperity with the workers devotedly burning the midnight oil. He said that it is an acknowledged fact that 'Happy workers guarantee a Happy Nation' and the BJP will continue to keep workers' welfare on top priority after retaining power at the Centre for the third consecutive term.
Kavinder Gupta asserted that while the Govt has taken multiple initiatives for today's youth not only to make them self reliant but make the nation as a whole self reliant, it is really a matter of pleasure that youth are coming forward to take up entrepreneurship as their occupation instead of wasting time in search of jobs. He said that there are thousands of youth across the nation having availed the benefit of StartUps under the Govt scheme and have set a new trend besides becoming an inspiration for the nation's young generation. He appealed to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to come forward and avail the benefit of various schemes specially launched for them. He said that the ventures set under these schemes will not only transform them from job seekers to job providers but would ensure handsome income to them for their decent living.
