Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 14: Bharat Bhushan Bodhi, Chairman of the District Development Council (DDC) Jammu, has affirmed the Administration's unwavering commitment to providing seamless facilities and services to devotees visiting the upcoming Jhiri Mela. This assurance came during the launch of the macadamization project for roads leading to the Temple and Mela site. The DDC Chairman inaugurated the black-topping work on roads connected to the Mela site, including Sua No: 1 to Jhiri road, Simbalwala to Jhiri road, and Bawe Talab to Jhiri road. The road improvement initiative is estimated to cost Rs. 72 lakhs and is geared towards enhancing the overall experience for devotees attending the Jhiri Mela. Addressing the gathering, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi highlighted the primary goal of making devotees from across the nation feel comfortable during their visit and ensuring a memorable experience. He emphasized the Administration's dedication to providing hassle-free services, with various departments such as Health, PHE, PDD, Police, and others working in coordination to ensure the best facilities for visitors. Bodhi stressed the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in and around the temple during the Jhiri Mela. The concerned departments are committed to ensuring proper sanitation, uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, security arrangements, ample ration and firewood stocks, accommodation provisions for devotees, deployment of fire tenders, and organizing cultural programs during the fair. Prominent figures accompanying the DDC Chairman included BDC Chairman Surinder Kumar, ex-Sarpanch Dhananter Singh, Sham Lal Sarpanch Panjore, Sanjay Kumar Sharma Naib Sarpanch, and Panch Amrik Singh Sudan.
