Civil Defence, conducts one-day awareness camp

JAMMU, Nov 14: In a proactive initiative aimed at enhancing community preparedness, Civil Defence, Jammu, organized a one-day awareness programme at Jani Pur Colony, Jammu. The event, held under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent, Anita Pawar, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Jammu, drew a significant turnout of local residents eager to learn life-saving skills.
The programme focused on imparting essential knowledge in First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), handling choking incidents, firefighting techniques, and awareness about drug addiction. Civil Defence experts led engaging sessions and conducted live demonstrations, allowing participants to grasp practical applications of the discussed topics.
The primary objective of the awareness camp was to equip civilians with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively during both natural and man-made disasters. The interactive sessions provided valuable insights into preventive measures, fostering a sense of community resilience.
Prominent figures present at the event included Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden CD Jammu, Anil Kohli, Chairman Main Stop Market Association Jani Pur, Er. Ravinder Sharma, Manju Ram, Social Worker, Vinod Sharma, Divisional Warden CD Jammu, and SI Vinod Kumar, in charge of Trainings CD Jammu. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort between Civil Defence and the local community.
The successful execution of this one-day awareness camp exemplifies Civil Defence, Jammu's commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of residents, contributing to a more resilient and informed society.
