DDC attends B2V5 activities at Treen Meyari, Aghar Jitto Panchayats

REASI, Nov 15: As part of the ongoing second round of the Back to Village-5 programme, the District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan led a comprehensive tour of Treen Meyari and Aghar Jitto Panchayats, here today. The visit aimed at engaging with the public to understand their concerns and prioritize developmental initiatives for the area.
Accompanied by visiting officers Rahul Sharma, Transport Commissioner, and Deep Raj, Project Director Samagar Shiksha Abhiyan, District Development Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan interacted directly with the residents. The discussions provided valuable insight into pressing issues such as power supply, water availability, road conditions, land compensation, construction of sports stadium, construction of a new building for HSS Aghar Jitto, and shortage of staff in schools.
Addressing the public during the visit, the District Development Commissioner reiterated the UT administration’s commitment to deliver all basic facilities directly at the doorsteps of the common masses. Emphasizing the importance of initiatives like Back to Village, he highlighted the pivotal role of PRIs in efficiently addressing public grievances and enhancing daily lives.
The District Development Commissioner shed light on various welfare schemes and government programs designed for the general public, assuring the community that the Reasi administration is dedicated to ensuring the benefits of these initiatives reach every individual in the district. This commitment reflects the administration’s dedication to inclusive development.
During the tour, the District Development Commissioner urged Sarpanches, Panches, and senior citizens to actively participate in the formulation of plans for the effective development of their respective areas.
The District Development Commissioner concluded the visit by reiterating the administration’s commitment to transparent governance and assured the public that their concerns and suggestions would be given due consideration in the formulation and execution of developmental plans.
In a significant development for the educational infrastructure in the district, Project Director of Samagar Shiksha Abhiyan, Deep Raj, announced Rs 1 lakh for the renovation of the Higher Secondary School (HSS) in Aghar Jitto. He made this announcement during the Back to Village programme, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the educational environment for the benefit of the students.
Furthermore, Project Director of Samagar Shiksha Abhiyan Deep Raj proposed the establishment of an open gym and smart classes within HSS Aghar Jitto. Recognizing the importance of physical fitness and technological advancements in education, these initiatives are designed to contribute to the holistic development of students.
Meanwhile, Assistant Development Commissioner Jyoti Slathia visited Panthal panchayat and interacted with the public in the presence of visiting officer Rachana Sharma Secretary in the Social Welfare Department. She also took stock of developmental issues and concerns of locals.
