Jammu, Feb 9:
CHILDLINE, Jammu in collaboration with the District Red Cross Society, organized a Medical Check-up Camp at Maratha Basti, Near Railway line, Trikuta Nagar Extn. Jugi-Jopri area wherein more than 300 children, ladies and gents of different age were medically examined by Dr. J.K. Nargotra, Child specialist and Dr. B.B. Sharma, gen. Physician.
The camp was organized on the request of children of Maratha Basti during interaction with them by a team of Childline/Volunteers. The local arrangements for the camp were made by Vishal and Shivji, Agustu, the locals who are also the Resource Persons of Childline. During the camp free medicines, talks on general hygiene were also given by the doctors.
Those presents in the camp were Dinesh Gupta, Director, O.P. Gupta, Co-ordinator, S.C. Bali, Team Members childline, R.C. Gupta, Ashok Kaw, Kushi Ram and Pawan Kumar. The residents of the Jugi-Jopri expressed their gratitude for giving them free consultation, medicines and awareness.
