| 112 birth anniversary of Guru Gyagi celebrated | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 9 The 112 birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gyagi Maharaj was celebrated with great enthusiasm at shahzadpur Kotli, by J&K Batwal welfare association which was attended by large number of people. On the occasion devotees sang bhajans etc. A cultural programme was also held. Former MLA, Satpal Lakhotra who was the Chief Guest stressed for social reforms and need to curb the prevailing social evils. He called for unity, simplicity and discipline among Batwal community, so that new generation do better in times to come. He further said, that unity among Batwal community be strengthened to get its legitimate rights from the government. President Gyagi foundation, Mela Ram Tugga in his address gave details of various activities and of achievements of the foundation during the last year. He appealed to the community to denote liberally for the foundation. Association on the occasion honoured meritorious students and eminent persons who excelled in various fields. Among others who also spoke were R. L. Kaith, Lt. Col. (retd.) Manohar Lal Kaith, Capt. Om Parkash Tugga, etc. A langar was also organized on the occasion.
