| Sangarsh extends support to striking govt. employees | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 9- In its maiden meeting of the newly appointed members, the Sangarsh- A movement for Justice, Equality, Peace, Prosperity and Brotherhood- has extended its full support to the government employees for their proposed strike on February 10 and 11. Addressing the meeting K.D Singh President Sangarsh said that implementation of the pay commission recommendations and enhancement of age limit from 58 to 60 years is going to benefit more then 5 lakh employees so the movement is in favour of the demands raised by WETJAC and PSU workers. Speaking on the occasion, Vice President of the movement Ramit Gupta said the implementations of the recommendations will help in fulfilling the aspirations of thousands of employees of the state as due to the increasing rates of the daily essential commodities has made it difficult for the serving class of the state to make their both ends meet. Gupta said that it is very perplexed that the state government is paying no attention towards this issue which is associated with thousands of people of the state. Suresh Kumar General Secretary said that it is very long pending demand of the employees adding that such issues should be solved on priority basis, as if delayed, may result in deepening the gap which is not a positive signal for the progress of the state. Munish Gupta Joint Secretary appealed the Chief Minister to implement the recommendations of 6th Pay Commission so that the people of the state might heave a sigh of relief. Prominent among others who were present in the meting included Taniya Akhter, Poonam Honda, Akhmat Choudary, Anil Kumar, Rajan Sharma, Chinamaya, Neeraj Kumar, Meenakshi, Neeha Sharma, Sourabh Gupta and Rishi Kumar.
