| Bhasin urges party workers to educate masses about PDP’s policies, programs | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 9- Exhorting the party workers to educate the masses about programs and policies of the party, general secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Daman Bhasin today said that only PDP can fulfill wishes and aspirations of all the regions and sub-regions of the state.
Addressing a function at Hiranagar in Kathua district, Bhasin said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir has set an example of good governance. He especially mentioned that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has not only removed discrimination with Jammu region but also provided equal funds for all regions and sub-regions of the State.
Cautioning people against those vested interests, which have launched malicious campaign against PDP, he reminded that people that during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed developmental activities were accelerated in Jammu region and many new projects for the upliftment of this region were started.
Speaking on the occasion, former MLA Billawar and senior leader Balbir Singh said that he has joined the PDP as only this party can effectively pursue the pro-people agenda. "It is all due to the pro-people policies of the PDP that I have joined this party", he said and reminded the people that during Mufti Mohammad Sayeed regime special attention was paid to backward and neglected areas. He observed that policies and program of the PDP were guided by the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Balbir Singh said that Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a crucial juncture and it is need of the hour to strengthen hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti.
Former MLA Kathua, Sagar Chand, in his address said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir treated all sections of the society equally and it was during his regime various programs were started for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society.
In the function it was decided to hold one day conference of district unit of PDP at Kathua very soon. The conference will be addressed by former Chief Minister and patron of the party Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
District president Surinder Singh, Sarpanches and Panches of Kathua and Billawar also spoke on the occasion.
