Akhnoor, Nov 19: SSP Mohan Lal Bhagat on Sunday inaugurated Shiv Shakti Driving Training Institute in Akhnoor. He was accompanied by councilor Shilpa Mahajan during the inaugural program.
SSP Mohan Lal while addressing the gathering said that the establishment of this center will greatly benefit the citizens of Akhnoor and surrounding areas. Mohan Lal said that road accidents are increasing rapidly in Jammu and Kashmir. In such a situation, detailed knowledge of road safety and traffic rules is very important for every driver. Congratulating Raj Singh, who opened Shiv Shakti Driving Training Institute, he requested that it should be ensured that whoever comes to the institute to learn driving is given correct and complete information about traffic rules. He also requested the people present at the program not to allow children to drive without a valid driving license. He said that in the present times one should learn driving only from technical experts. Shilpa Mahajan in her address said that today most of the people in the society know how to drive but it is important that they must have technical knowledge of vehicles including when and where to use horn, dipper etc. To learn all this, one should learn driving from a registered institute only. She said that today large number of women are driving vehicles who all should get the basic knowledge about the traffic rules and road saftey from the institute. Dayal Singh, Rajinder Jamwal, Anu Manhas, Narinder Singh, Ashish Sarotia, Mohan Singh, Satpal Sharma, Arun, Roshan, Monu Sharma etc. were others present on this occasion.
