DC reviews implementation of schemes

DODA, Nov 20: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh today visited Zila Sainik Welfare Office to take stock of implementation of welfare measures and schemes being run by the Government for the Ex- Servicemen.
Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Wing Commander, Tirath Singh (Retd) briefed about the duties and responsibilities of Zila Sainik Welfare Office and staff strength, Composition of KSB, RSB, ZSWO and present status of Ex- servicemen in the district. He also briefed about facilities and schemes available for Ex Servicemen (ESM).
The DC applauded the efforts of the Zila Sainik Welfare officer for keeping the premises neat and tidy. He also appreciated the Zila Sainik Welfare Office for serving the one who served the nation and assured that the District Administration shall extend its full cooperation to the ZSWO for the welfare of Ex-servicemen. DC has assured that the shortage of staff and funds/ approval for construction of security/ compound wall shall be taken up with the concerned higher authorities for early consideration.
