Dr Darakhshan Andrabi inaugurates Human Rights Council Office

SRINAGAR, Nov 20: Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board and Minister of State, inaugurated the new office of the Human Rights Judicial Protection Council at Srinagar. The inauguration took place at a function held at Haj House in Srinagar, where Shabnum Mehraj represented the IHRJPC Kashmir Chapter, and BJP Media Incharge Kashmir, Sajid Yousuf Shah, was also present.
The Human Rights Judicial Protection Council aims to provide social justice protection to the deprived sections of society. Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, during the event, inaugurated a blood donation camp and actively participated in distributing blankets to the needy.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi emphasized the importance of social service as the foundation of public welfare. She acknowledged the significant contribution of volunteers, stating that their role remains crucial alongside government efforts to serve the people. Dr. Andrabi expressed her continuous commitment to social service initiatives, highlighting that the interest of youth in volunteer services should be encouraged on a larger scale.
Commending the youth of Jammu & Kashmir for their active participation in various public welfare initiatives, Dr. Andrabi also addressed the alarming issue of drug addiction among the youth. She revealed the plan of the Waqf Board to establish a Drug De-Addiction Centre for Girls in Srinagar. As a gesture of appreciation, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi felicitated many volunteers during the event for their valuable contributions to social service.
This multifaceted event reflects Dr. Andrabi's commitment to both human rights and community welfare, addressing societal issues and encouraging positive initiatives.
