| Six Gamblers arrested, and stake money Rs 60240/- recovered by Police station City Jammu | | |

Jammu, Nov 20: In an act of alertness and prompt action, police team of PS City headed by SHO PS City SI Mohinder Singh while on patrolling duty received an information regarding some persons gambling in Hotel premier Residency road Jammu in the area under jurisdiction of PS City. On this police teams raided at the said place and caught six gamblers along with Rs 60240/- of stake money.
On this, a case under section 13 of Gambling Act got registered at PS City and accused got arrested. The accused arrested have been identified as:
1. Javaid Ahmed S/O Bashir Ahmad R/O Doura tehsil Hazratbal Srinagar
2. Khalid S/O Shokat Ahmed R/O Hazratbal Srinagar
3. Farooq Ahmed S/O Mohd Shahban R/O Tankipur Srinagar
4. Hilal Ahmed S/O Ali Mohd R/O Tanki pur Srinagar
5. Ayaz Ahmed Mir S/O Mohd Altaf Mir R/O Nowshera Srinagar
6. Feroz Ahmed S/O Mohd Yousaf R/O Rambag Srinagar
The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar.
Further investigation of the case is going on. |
