| 06 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized by Jammu Police | | |

Jammu, Nov 20: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Kanachak, PP Chatha, PP Pounichak and PP Chowki Choura acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area and seized 06 vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicle seized are as under:
02 vehicles i.e One tipper and One tractor trolley without Registration Nos. by PS Kanachak
Two tractor trollies bearing Registration No. JK02DS5447 and Chassis No MBNBEBBAZNE04258, by PP Chatha
One tractor trolley without Registration No by PP Pounichak
One Tractor Trolley bearing Registration No JK02CR-2891, by PP Chowki Choura.
The recoveries were made by SHO PS Kanachak Inspr Tribhuvan Khajuria, I/C PP Chatha PSI Harjinder Paul Singh, I/C PP Pounichak SI Ashish Sharma and I/C PP Chowki Choura PSI Pankaj Katoch in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of Hon’ble High Court of J&K. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action. |
