JKAACL organises one day seminar on life, teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji

JAMMU, Nov 22: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) organised one Day Seminar on Life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji here at K.L.Saigal Hall, Jammu.
The Seminar was inaugurated by lighting of traditional lamp by the dignitaries. The Inaugural session of the seminar was presided over by Khalid Hussaun, Eminent Punjabi writer, S. Ajeet Singh Mastana presented the keynote address on "Life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji". S. J.P. Singh, former IGP J&K shared the presidium with Popinder singh Paras, Editor Punjabi JKAACL. Special number of Sada Sahit Punajbi and latest Sheeraza publications of JKAACL were also released on the occasion by the dignitaries. The exhibition of JKAACL publications was also displayed on the occasion.
At the outset, Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor Cum cultural Officer, JKAACL welcomed the guests on behalf of Bharat Singh (JKAS), Secretary JKAACL. In his presidential address Khalid Hussain appreciated the efforts of JKAACL specially the Secretary Bharat Singh for taking JKAACL to the new heights by organising such literary and cultural activities. He said that the teachings of baba Nanak ji are the message of peace and harmony and we all should follow them. Chief guest S. J.P.Singh in his address said that the teachings and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji which he said in 15th Century are still relevant and applicable. He further said that under the leadership of Bharat Singh, Secretary, JKAACL is doing commendable job. The inaugural session was conducted by S. Popinder singh Paras, Editor Punjabi JKAACL
After the inaugural session paper reading session was organised in which Dr. Pritam Singh and Dr. Jasbir Sama presented papers on "Life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in different shades. The session was presided over by Dr. Jiender Udhampuri while Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, former Additional secretary, JKAACL was guest of honour.
The paper reading session was followed by Kavi Darbar in which poets who presented their poetry included Bachan Bharti, Bhupinder Singh Bhargav, Devinder Singh Dhanjal, Balkar Singh, Balwinder Singh, Devinder Singh, Baljit Singh Raina, Surinder Kaur Neer, Amarjit Kour Neer, Amnprit kour, Harpal Singh Pali, Harbhajan Singh, Suraj Rattan, Suraj Singh, Saran Star, H.S Uppal, Nirmal Vinod, Manjit Singh Kamra, Amrjit Kour Neer, Satwant Singh, Dr. M.P, Prabhjot Kour, Amin Banhali and others. This session was presided over by Renowned Poet Dr. Baljeet Raina and Harjit Singh Uppal. The proceeding of the Kavi Darbar were conducted Amnprit Kour. S. Popinder Singh Paras Editor Sheeraza Punjabi presented vote of thanks.
