| Niaz demands regular chopper service in Doda-Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 10- Former Minister and sitting MLC Mohammad Sharief Niaz has in statement has demanded Chopper service for the people of Doda and Kishtwar District in view of the road blockage at Trungal- Assar following sinking of a stretch of road as a result of which the twin districts have been cut off from rest of the state. He said as the large chunk of road portion has been washed away it has been felt difficult to transport the essential commodities to the area. He demanded immediate restoration of Bani Bhaderwa road so that essential supplies are restored to the area. Niaz also demanded that an alternative road from Kussar- Sudhmahadev to Dranga- Marmat of Doda District may be taken up by way of construction of a Tunnel which will reduce the road length from Jammu to Doda up to 50 Kms. He also demanded that another alternative road from Karol (Ramban) via Kastigarh to Doda may be considered for its execution which will cater the demand of people of Seraz area and in addition would meet the urgent requirement of the connectivity to far flung areas which will benefit more than two lakh people residing in the area.
