| Maya Institute organizes debating competition | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 10- Maya Institute, the authorized center of PTU, organized a debating competition on the topic “Are the principles of Mahatma Gandhi relevant today”. The program began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest Prof. Ajeet Angral followed by the welcome address by the centre Director, Atul Mahajan, who in his welcome address said that said that Maya Institute is committed to provide quality education and excellence. The speakers while speaking on the topic stressed upon the principles of Mahatma Gandhi’s “Ahinsa Parmo Dharam” and ‘Honesty’. While some speakers spoke against the motion and stressed that with changing times the ethics and values of people have changed hence to attain success one has to deviate Mahatma’s path, therefore his principles cannot yield results in these times. Prof Ajeet Angral on the occasion appreciated and congratulated the center Director for organizing a debate on such a topic and said that “we really need to follow the ethics of Mahatma Gandhi. The debating competition was judged by renowned personalities Prof. Vijay Laxmi, Vikram Sharma and Sohail Khan.
