JAMMU, Nov 25: The Kathua Campus of the University of Jammu celebrated Constitution Day with profound reverence, paying homage to the foundational document of the nation. The occasion featured an enlightening lecture delivered by Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Rector of Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Indian Constitution in shaping the country's identity and values.
Prof. Jasrotia's lecture served as a poignant reminder of the enduring significance of the Constitution in India's democratic journey. He provided insights into the historical importance and contemporary relevance of the Constitution, elucidating its Preamble, fundamental principles, and the rights it guarantees to every citizen. The address underscored the vital role played by the Constitution in shaping the democratic framework and upholding the rights of citizens.
The day's observance culminated in a solemn pledge-taking ceremony, where faculty members, staff, and students enthusiastically reaffirmed their commitment to the values enshrined in the Constitution by reciting its Preamble. The pledge echoed the spirit of unity, justice, and equality, forming the bedrock of the nation.
Dr. Sourabh Shastri, I/c Head of MCA at Kathua Campus, extended a warm welcome, highlighting the institution's commitment to academic excellence, civic responsibility, and social consciousness among its students.
Dr. Nisha Chowdhary coordinated the entire program, ensuring its seamless execution, while Dr. Shivani Sharma presented the formal vote of thanks.
