DPS Jammu shines in State Roller Skating Championship

JAMMU, Nov 25: Students from Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu, showcased their exceptional roller skating skills in the State Level Roller Skating Championship-2023 organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Roller Skating Association. The championship, held from November 14 to 17, 2023, at M.A Stadium and Peer Kho Skating Rink, Jammu, witnessed remarkable achievements by DPS Jammu students, resulting in a noteworthy collection of 9 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals.
The medal winners from DPS Jammu include:
Pratyaksha Gupta (X-D): 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal in 500 m, 1000 m, and 1500 m.
Saanvi Grover (VIII-B): 3 gold medals in 500 m, 1000 m, and 1500 m.
Mridul Jungral (III-E): 3 gold medals in 500 m, 1000 m, and 1500 m.
Trisha Jamwal (IV-E): 1 gold medal in Roller hockey event.
Hridyansh Chib (VIII-F): 2 silver medals in Roller hockey event.
Zayafat John (VI-J): 2 silver medals in Roller hockey event.
Rajanya Khajuria (VII-I): 1 silver medal in Roller hockey event.
Aayan Singh Langhe (IV-B): 1 silver and 2 bronze medals in 500 m, 1000 m, and 1500 m.
Vidhaan Mahajan (VI-H): 2 silver and 1 bronze medal in 500 m, 1000 m, and 1500 m.
Riyansh Mahajan (I-D): 3 bronze medals in 500 m, 1000 m, and 1500 m.
Additionally, Parth Slathia, the School Skating Coach, secured a gold medal in the Inline Hockey event.
In recognition of their outstanding performance, nine students and Coach Parth Slathia have been selected to represent DPS Jammu at the National Level Roller Skating Championship scheduled to take place in Chandigarh and Chennai from December 10, 2023.
The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, including President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, distinguished PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, Director S.S Sodhi, along with Principal-DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra, and the faculty extended their heartfelt congratulations to the winners, their parents, and the coach. They also conveyed their best wishes for the upcoming National Championship and future endeavors of the talented students.
