Ramban Polytechnic takes students on field visit to Grid Station

RAMBAN, Nov 25: Government Polytechnic College, Ramban today organized a day-long industrial visit-cum-training for students. The students of 3rd and 5th semester of Electrical Engineering branch were taken to Grid Station, Maitra.
The objective of the visit was to provide the students an opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. As many as 65 students along with staff members of the Electrical Engineering Department get first-hand knowledge about the overall working of the power station.
The staff of the Grid Station guided the students through demonstration and explained the working of all equipment installed in the grid station.
Showing keen interest in live experience at the world of work, the students also took an active part in exploring the things by asking many questions about the functioning of Grid Station.
The students expressed gratitude to the Principal, and staff for this initiative and providing an opportunity for this important visit. They also thanked the staff of Grid Station for support and willingness to share their expertise during the visit and exposing the students to the real-world setting by which the students gained valuable insights into the inner workings of the system.
