Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 27: Jodhamal School, showcasing exceptional intellect and knowledge, clinched victory in the Zonal Round of the prestigious INTACH Quiz Competition 2023. The event, hosted at Montessori Cambridge School in Nurpur, Himachal Pradesh, witnessed spirited participation from schools in the region. The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), a revered organization promoting heritage awareness and conservation, organized the quiz competition.
Founded in 1984 in New Delhi, INTACH has evolved into one of the world's largest heritage organizations, boasting over 190 chapters nationwide. With a mission to spearhead heritage awareness and conservation in India, INTACH has become a beacon in preserving the rich cultural tapestry of the country.
Team Jodhamal demonstrated their prowess by emerging victorious in the City Round, triumphing over 23 other teams. This paved their way to the Zonal Round in Himachal Pradesh, where they continued their winning streak. Comprising Kushagar Sambyal and Adit Gupta, the Jodhamal Quiz Team secured the top position, earning the privilege to represent their school in the Final National Level Round of the INTACH Quiz.
The Final National Level Round is scheduled to take place in New Delhi from December 14 to December 15, 2023. Jodhamal School, under the guidance of Namrata Sharma and Deepali Sharma, will proudly showcase their knowledge and compete for top honors on the national stage.
Schools from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir participated in the Zonal Quiz, with Jodhamal School emerging as the champion. The second and third positions were secured by teams from Indus Global School, Mandi, and St Mary Sen Secondary School, Dharmshala, respectively.
The Zonal Round witnessed the esteemed presence of dignitaries, including Col Bhupinder Singh (Retd), Malvika Pathania (State Convener, INTACH), SM Sawhney (Convener, INTACH Jammu Chapter), and KK Sharma (INTACH, Jammu Chapter).
The success of the Jodhamal Quiz Team can be attributed to the dedicated mentorship of Mrs Namrata Sharma and Deepali Sharma. The team was expertly guided and accompanied by Aashish Maharaj.
The Jodhamal School Administration extended heartfelt congratulations to the students and teachers, commending their dedication and accomplishment in achieving this significant feat. The triumph not only reflects the academic excellence of the participants but also underscores the school's commitment to fostering a spirit of learning and competition among its students.
As Jodhamal School eagerly prepares for the upcoming National Finals, the entire school community stands united in celebrating this remarkable achievement, affirming the school's commitment to educational excellence and holistic development.
