JAMMU, Nov 27: In a heartfelt farewell function held at Hotel Jammu Darbar, Ashok Kumar Sharma, the worthy Director School Education, Jammu, and Ganesh Khajuria, Chairman of JKTF (Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum), extended their warm wishes for a happy and prosperous post-retirement life to the esteemed Trade Union Leader, S. Surat Singh Toofani. The event, organized by Ganesh Khajuria and the Central Executive Body of the FORUM, was attended by a distinguished gathering, including officers from the School Education Department, headmasters, and various dignitaries.
S. Surat Singh Toofani, a stalwart Trade Union Leader and Sr. Vice-President of JKTF, has dedicated over thirty-four years to the teaching profession, leaving an indelible mark on various government institutions. Recognized for his outstanding contributions both as a teacher and a trade union leader, Toofani has been a driving force in advocating for the welfare of the teaching community.
The farewell function witnessed the presence of Ashok Kumar Sharma, Ms. Mamta Sharma (Deputy Director Planning), Suraj Singh Rathore (Jt. Secretary JKBOSE), Jagdeep Padha (Chief Education Officer Jammu), T. S. Blowria (DEPO Jammu), and several headmasters from different institutions.
Speakers at the event applauded S. Surat Singh Toofani's achievements, emphasizing his dedication, honesty, and significant role as a trade union leader. They praised his brotherly relationships with the teaching community, highlighting his secular leadership.
Ashok Kumar Sharma commended Toofani's services and encouraged others to follow his example of honesty, dedication, and hard work in serving students from economically challenged backgrounds. He emphasized the philosophy of Karma and wished Toofani a happy and healthy post-retirement life.
Ganesh Khajuria, in his address, lauded Toofani's dedication and honest work, acknowledging the irreplaceable void left by his retirement. Khajuria expressed gratitude for Toofani's support to the JKTF and urged him to continue his service as a trade union leader.
Other dignitaries, including Suraj Singh Rathore, Jagdeep Padha, and Mohd Shafi Rather, extended their blessings to S. Surat Singh Toofani, recognizing his valuable contributions.
In his emotional address, Toofani shared his experiences as a teacher and trade union leader, highlighting his commitment to giving 100% in the classroom. He expressed gratitude for the rewards he received in the form of well-educated and sincere children.
The function, managed by Bharat Bhushan Sharma, District President Jammu, was attended by numerous prominent personalities from the education sector and beyond, all united in bidding a fond farewell to S. Surat Singh Toofani.
