Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reaches Panchayat Chak Avtara

JAMMU, Nov 27: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign to spread awareness about the various developmental schemes and initiatives of the government of India, reached Panchayat chak avtara in block Bishnah.
The Sankalp Yatra Van received a warm welcome by a large number of locals including panchayat representatives, sarpanches, panches and members of self help groups.
Under the overall supervision and guidance of Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, the event was attended by ADC Jammu Sandeep Seointra, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the achievements and benefits of the various flagship schemes of the government of India towards the ultimate goal of Viksit Bharat.
He also administered the Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge to the participants to collaboratively work for the overall welfare of the society and development of the nation at large.
Videos of beneficiaries of different departmental schemes under Meri Kahani Meri Zubani were also played besides the Honb'le PM's message for the public.
A session on Satat Krishi activities was also held presenting a drone demonstration by agricultural scientist to highlight its use for precision farming, crop monitoring, pest control and irrigation, besides distribution of Soil Health Cards and enrollment of beneficiaries under KCC and explaining its benefits and usage.
An interaction session with progressive farmers on organic farming processes was also held. They shared best practices and success stories of organic farming and encouraged others to adopt it.
In addition to the departmental stalls displaying different schemes and products, on spot services, Several cultural performances were also given by the local artists and students which included patriotic songs, quiz on governmental schemes, sports events, drawing competition on Swachh Bharat Mission, skit on National Rural Mission, exhibition of products made by self help groups etc.
The panchayat also celebrated its achievements of being granted ODF+ status and hundred percent digitisation of its land records.
On the spot medical services were also provided through health camps, TB screening, sickle cell anaemia screening and Ayushman Card generation by the health department.
Newly enrolled beneficiaries under PM UJJWALA Yojana were also provided services and others were given updation facility. Moreover Land Passbooks besides other benefits were also distributed on spot.
Similar events were also held in Mandal Phallian, Bishnah, Arnia, Bhalwal, R.S Pura, Mathwar and Pargwal blocks.
It is Pertinent to mention that similar events shall be conducted throughout the district as per the schedule and panchayat wise route plan devised to celebrate the development path of the nation through Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
