| Two CRPF men commit suicide | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 10: A CRPF jawan allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday by shooting himself with his service rifle in the outskirts of Jammu city, hours after an officer of the para-military force ended life in the state.
Raju - a CRPF jawan shot himself with his service rifle while on duty at Ghrota area in the outskirts of Jammu city on Tuesday afternoon, official sources said.
On hearing the shot, other jawans and policemen rushed to the spot and took him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, the sources said adding the reason behind his taking the extreme step was not yet known. CRPF authorities have ordered an enquiry into the suicide. This is third case of suicide by CRPF personnel in past four days.
On Monday night, Jaimal Singh, a sub-inspector of 164th CRPF battalion committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside a camp at Kokernag in South Kashmir Anantnag. Another jawan had committed suicide in Kashmir Valley on February 6. |
